The RD51.1-5N-045-L-DL-FW is a universal three-phase drive system. It belongs to the RD51 product line from Bosch Rexroth. The modular design of RD51 drives allows them to be adapted to different applications. The RD51.1-5N-045-L-DL-FW is based on a three-phase AC converter that is rated for 500 Volts AC. The converter is without a brake chopper. Rated output of the RD51.1-5N-045-L-DL-FW drive is 45 kilowatts. The drive functions are determined by the installed firmware that has to be ordered separately from the hardware. RD51 drives are available with different cooling methods including liquid cooling and natural convection. The RD51.1-5N-045-L-DL-FW is designed for forced air cooling which requires the use of fans or blowers for forcing air across the heated body of the operating drive system.
The RD51.1-5N-045-L-DL-FW can be commissioned with prompts using the operator panel with graphical display. The drive can also be commissioned from the PC-based software known as RDwin. Bosch has equipped the RD51 drives with line radio interference suppression filters and line reactors to prevent feeding back of harmonics into the line supply. Various communication modules are available for RD51 drives including SERCOS, RS-232 / RS-485, CAN bus and Interbus S. The RD51.1-5N-045-L-DL-FW has an overload capability and can sustain 170% overload for 1 second or 200% overload for 0.5 seconds. The type label on the drive is provided with information that assists with drive identification. The information on the type label should be checked at the time of equipment delivery to ensure that the received equipment complies with the ordered specifications. The information on the type label includes type code, firmware version, and voltage, current and frequency ratings for the drive input and output.
