The RD51.1-5N-007-L-V1-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RD 500 Drive Controllers series. Inside an automated installation, it regulates the power delivered to asynchronous motors so that motion sequences follow the programmed cycle. By modulating output frequency and voltage, it supports energy-efficient adjustment of conveyor, pump, or fan speeds without mechanical gear changes. This operating method helps the connected motor match process demand during normal machine operation.

It uses the supply type Converter 3 x AC, which indicates a three-phase AC mains connection. The internal rectifier and inverter stages are designed for line voltages up to 500 V, allowing the unit to serve plant networks in this voltage class without an added transformer. At a rated output of 7.5 kW, the controller can operate motors commonly used for packaging conveyors or moderate-duty pumps. The auxiliary feature set includes 24 V stand-by power derived from an external source, so the control electronics remain active when the main drive bus is de-energized. This allows monitoring and control functions to remain available while the power stage is inactive. The required application package is ordered as a separate subposition, allowing the selected function set to match the machine task. The unit is part of Design Generation 1, which matches first-generation RD500 option cards and keypad interfaces.
