The Bosch RD51.1-5B-030-L-D1-FW is a RD51 series universal drive. It is designed for 500 Volts AC input. The drive is converter based and the converter includes a brake chopper. The rated power output of the RD51.1-5B-030-L-D1-FW is 30 kilowatts. RD51 drives are designed for motor control applications. They are widely used in industrial applications such as chemical and process technology, machine tools, packing and foodstuff machines. RD51 drives from Bosch should be operated under specified ambient conditions. The use of RD51 drives in applications other than those specified in the documentation is considered as improper. RD51 drives should not be used if they are exposed to operating conditions that do not comply with prescribed ambient conditions. RD51 drives should also not be used for applications that have not been clearly approved by the manufacturer.
The RD51.1-5B-030-L-D1-FW is designed for forced air cooling. This cooling method relies on a minimum air flow rate for heat dissipation. The air flow is provided by either fans on blowers.
