The RD51.1-5B-030-D-DF-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RD 500 Drive Controllers series. Installed between the plant power bus and an induction motor, the unit modulates line voltage and frequency so automated machinery can match speed to load while maintaining torque. In conveyor, pump, and fan stations, it converts PLC commands into regulated electrical output for smooth speed control. This operating role makes it suitable for process equipment that must accelerate predictably, hold a commanded speed, and respond consistently when load demand changes during normal production.

The controller draws power through a three-phase AC converter input and is designed for grids operating at 500 V.
