The RD51.1-5B-030-D-D1-FW is a converter in the RD 51 series of Bosch Rexroth’s RD 500 drive system. The Design 1 converter is equipped with an integrated brake chopper whose continuous power rating is 19kW. The peak power of the brake chopper is 74kW, while its minimum resistance value is 8.8 Ohms. This compact converter is designed for cooling with a plug-through cooler and supports the use of a 24V external standby power supply. For its operation, a nominal three-phase AC connecting voltage of 500V with a 10% allowance is required.

The RS232 and RS485 serial interfaces installed on the converter’s logic and control board can also be used for its parameterization. Its protection category is IP 20, indicating that it cannot be penetrated by solid objects larger than 12mm. The permissible ambient temperature for its operation is a maximum of 40^oC.
