The RD 500 series are drive systems manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. They are universal three-phase drive systems used in synchronous and induction motors. These drive systems are easily adaptable for different applications due to the modular hardware and software design. They are in full compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directives regarding their noise immunity and low noise emission. They have different interfaces such as SERCOS, Profibus DP, InterBus S, CAN bus, peer-to-peer coupling with fiber-optic cable, and RS 232 / RS 485. These can be used to control, monitor, and parameterize the drive system. They also have easily configurable technology functions that can be combined for a better outcome like the mathematical function elements, timers, comparators, ramp-function generators.
