It is used in different areas such as machine tools, chemical and process technology, packaging, and food processing machines, handling and assembly systems, hoist and conveyor technology. It is also mostly used for applications that do not require servo functions. The RD 500 series is a high-quality three-phase drive system used for different synchronous and induction motors. The system consists of several AC drive converters with or without an integrated braking chopper, inverters for DC supply and supply modules.
The RD51.1-5B-007-D-D1-FW is a frequency converter with a 3-phase supply voltage of AC 500 V. The allowance of this rating is ±10 %, and it has a nominal frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. The device’s removable control panel can be used to operate, monitor, and parameterize it. The panel has a user-friendly four-digit display screen and an integrated radio interference suppression filter with line reactors to decrease the harmonics fed back into the line supply. It also meets the EMC standard as regards noise emission and noise immunity per EN 50082-2.
