In operation, the RD51.1 variant uses a three-phase AC converter input and conditions it for motor use within a 500 V bus window, allowing installation on industrial power networks without an intermediate transformer. At full load, it supplies up to 5.5 kW of output, which suits medium-power machinery such as mixers, extruders, or small compressors. Speed control is handled through U/f curve control, a scalar method that maintains a constant voltage-to-frequency ratio so motor flux remains stable from low speed to maximum speed.
