The Bosch RD51.1-4N-005-L-D1-FW is a universal AC drive. It supports two additional functions. The 24 Volts standby power function allows control electronics to operate without any line supply voltage connected to the converter. An external 24 Volts DC control power supply voltage is required. The standby power feature enables parameterization of data sets in the absence of line supply and allows continued operation of field buses with power supply disconnected. To prevent ground loops, Bosch recommends that the 24 Volt standby power supply be applied to X83 in a floating manner. X83 will not be protected from reverse polarity if the floating method is not used. The second additional function supported by the RD51.1-4N-005-L-D1-FW is connection for RZC01.1-XT with NAMUR terminal strip. RZC series chemistry modules are accessories for RD51 drives that supplement AC drives for the chemical and process industries.
The RD51.1-4N-005-L-D1-FW is based on converter that does not support an integrated brake chopper. The nominal drive output is 5.5 kilowatts with 380 to 480 Volts AC input. The drive output is 2.8 kilowatts with three-phase 200 to 240 Volts AC input. The functionality of the RD51.1-4N-005-L-D1-FW is determined by the firmware that is installed on the system. Bosch offers different firmware that are optimized for different applications. For this reason the firmware has to be ordered separately. The RD51.1-4N-005-L-D1-FW cools via forced air cooling.
