The RD 500 drive system is designed for numerous applications for a wide range of synchronous and induction motors. It is a three-phase, universal system whose modular hardware and software configuration allows it to be customized for application-specific tasks. The system components include drive converters, inverters for the DC connection, and power supply modules in different versions. Special attention is given to the easy startup of the system with features like automatic motor adaptation via parameter identification. Its typical applications include food processing and packaging machines, chemical, and processing technology, handling, and assembly systems, and hoist and conveyor technology.
The RD51.1-4N-005-L-CF-FW is one of the converters in the Bosch Rexroth RD 500 drive system. It features Design 1 and carries out its motion control function through the U/f curve control method. This motion control method is cost-efficient and ideal for energy-saving operations. The drive converter operates at a three-phase AC voltage supply that ranges from 300 V to 480 V with an allowance of ±10%. The nominal frequency is between 50 Hz and 60 Hz, and it is functional at varying pulse modulation frequencies, including 4kHz, 8kHz, and 12kHz.
With an external 24V standby power supply unit, the RD51.1-4N-005-L-CF-FW can perform some functions even when it is not connected to a line supply voltage.
