The RD 500 drive system comprises AC drive converters, DC supply inverters, and rectifier and supply modules which can produce regenerative feedback into the line supply. These various components enable the RD 500 drive system to function as an advanced, versatile three-phase drive system suitable for several synchronous and induction motors. Its typical applications include chemical and process technology, hoist and conveyor technology, packaging and foodstuff machines, and machine tools.
The RD51.1-4N-003-L-V1-FW is an AC drive converter model which requires a three-phase supply voltage of 380V to 480V and a tolerance limit of ±10%. It has rated power data of 3kW and employs a forced-air cooling system as a heat dissipation method. This device utilizes voltage frequency control; thus, it is used in applications that do not require servo characteristics. These applications include pumps, ventilators, extrudes, agitators, and centrifuges. It supports an additional function 24V standby power supply which allows the control electronics to operate when no line supply voltage connected. With this option, the field buses can continue to be operated.
