In automated plants, this drive controller converts fixed mains power into variable-frequency output so that three-phase induction motors can respond to process commands related to speed or torque. Because of its power structure and integrated control logic, RD51.1-4B-110-L-V1-FW serves as the link between higher-level controllers and the mechanical load. This arrangement allows the drive to regulate motor operation while supporting stable process response during changing load conditions.

Its input section is configured as a three-phase AC converter, allowing direct connection to factory mains without intermediate transformers. The permissible line range of 380 to 480 V accommodates common low-voltage networks, and a voltage tolerance of ±10% helps the drive remain operational during minor supply fluctuations. Line-borne interference is reduced by an integrated mains filter, helping the installation meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements without extra hardware. During idle periods, external 24 V standby power can supply the controller logic so communication functions remain active while the main inverter is de-energized. The unit is part of design generation 1, indicating the first design version of this platform.
