Indramat Refu is part of the global Bosch Rexroth brand, and it is the manufacturer of the universal RD 500 drive system. It is a three-phase system designed for the operation of synchronous and induction motors. Its modular build supports its flexible customization to suit users’ needs and allows its components to be conveniently wired in a control cabinet. The drive system is used in centrifuges, machine tools, roller tables, agitators, packaging and foodstuff machines, and grinding machines.
The RD51.1-4B-090-L-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth drive converter in the RD 500 drive system. It achieves motion control using U/f curve control and requires a nominal three-phase AC connecting voltage between 380V and 480V with a 10% allowance. A line reactor and radio interference suppression filter are integrated to reduce the harmonics fed back into the converter’s connected line supply and reduce noise. Hence, the converter complies with the EMC Directives on noise immunity and noise emission according to the EMC Product Standard for electric drives in EN 61800-3, EN 55011 Class A (IEC 61800-3).
There is an inbuilt brake chopper in the RD51.1-4B-090-L-NN-FW. The minimum resistance value of this brake chopper is 2.5 Ohms, while its continuous power rating is 55kW.
