The RD 500 series by Bosch Rexroth are universal three-phase drive systems used in synchronous and induction motors. The hardware and software have a modular design which allows the drive systems to be flexibly adapted to the drive application. They are specially designed for simple handling and can be commissioned easily with an operator panel with a graphics display or a user-friendly PC with an RDwin software package.
The RD51.1-4B-018-L-F1-FW is a converter in the RD 500 series with a built-in brake chopper. It is designed to control electric motors and monitor their operations. They are used across different fields, including chemical and process technology, machine tools, hoist and conveyor technology, handling and assembly systems, and packing and foodstuff machines. It has a removable user panel with a parameter copy function and a four-line graphical display. The user panel is used to operate, monitor, parameterize, copy parameter sets and transfer them to other devices. Its cooling mode is forced air cooling and can be implemented with a high degree of protection.
The RD51.1-4B-018-L-F1-FW has an additional function 24 V standby power supply which allows continued operation if the power supply is disconnected. It is equipped with a start inhibitor function that meets the Protection against accidental starting requirement according to EN 60 204-1. It has an aluminum electrolytic capacitor which allows for two-year storage. It is in full compliance with the EMC directives regarding noise immunity and noise emission according to EN 61800-3; it is immune to noise according to EN 50082-2. It should be operated at an ambient temperature of 40°C, and the relative humidity should not exceed 90%. It should be set up at the height of 1000 m above sea level.
