The RD51.1-4B-007-L-C1-FW is an AC converter based drive controller. The converter is rated for 380 to 480 Volts AC input and includes a brake chopper. Nominal output of the drive is 7 kilowatts. Two additional functions are available on the RD51.1-4B-007-L-C1-FW including 24 Volts standby power and connection for RZC01.1-XN. Bosch has designed the RD51.1-4B-007-L-C1-FW for forced air cooling and 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Output of the controller derates i.e. falls below rated values at higher ambient temperatures. The drive functionality is a function of features supported by the firmware, integrated hardware features and optional hardware features. Operators can commission the controller through specialized PC-based software. The controller can also be commissioned from an operator panel that features a graphical display. Integrated filters allow suppression of harmonics fed back into the AC supply.
Performance data for the brake chopper include 3.8 kilowatts continuous power, 18 kilowatts peak power for 1 second and 35 Ohms minimum resistance value. Controller technical data at 4 kilohertz pulse are as follows: 7.5 kilowatts rated output, 0 to 250 Hertz output frequency, 18 Amps rated current, 36 Amps peak current for 0.5 seconds and 12 kVA rated output. Controller technical data at 8 kilohertz pulse are as follows: 5.5 kilowatts rated output, 0 to 500 Hertz output frequency, 13 Amps rated current, 26 Amps peak current for 0.5 seconds and 8.6 kVA rated output. Controller technical data at 12 kilohertz pulse are as follows: 0 to 1400 Hertz output frequency, 10 Amps rated current, 20 Amps peak current for 0.5 seconds and 6.6 kVA rated output.
