Product Description:
The RD42.1-5R-026-L/S135 is a Bosch Rexroth RD42 series power supply. It is designed for connection to inverters with DC connection from the REFUdrive 500 series. The power supply is capable of regenerative feedback and can regenerate into the line supply when drives are braked. The three phase supply to the RD42.1-5R-026-L/S135 is fed through a line filter and an uncontrolled three-phase bridge rectifier. The DC link capacitors are pre-charged through series resistors and an auxiliary contactor. Development of a fault in the power section causes the automatic interruption of pre-charging. The RD42.1-5R-026-L/S135 has two modes of operation: in the ‘standby’ operating mode the regenerative feedback is active and quiescent current is almost zero, and in the ‘run’ operating mode the regenerative feedback is active and the quiescent current is about 30% of the rated current.
The nominal mains connecting voltage for the RD42.1-5R-026-L/S135 is 500 Volts AC (three-phase). The permitted variation in the input voltage is ±10%. A brake chopper is not available on the power supply. The rated DC bus nominal power is 26 kilowatts. The cooling method used by the RD42.1-5R-026-L/S135 is forced air cooling. The recommended fuse rating is 63 Amps. The DC rated current is 50 Amps and the peak current (for 60 seconds) is 75 Amps. At 400 Volts AC the rated output is 26 kilowatts and the peak output is 40 kilowatts. At 500 Volts AC the rated output is 33 kilowatts and the peak output is 50 kilowatts. The line supply rated current at the rated line supply power is 45 Amps. The line supply power factor is approximately 1. The power losses at the rated output are approximately 0.8 kilowatts.
