The RAC 2.3-150-380-L00-W1 is a main spindle drive controller manufactured by Indramat. The function of the RAC 2 controllers is to be the means of digital control for certain motors. These are the Indramat 2AD asynchronous motors as well as the 1MB frameless spindle motors. The motor output at the motor’s drive shaft must be continuous and in the range of 30 to 52 kw.

The RAC 2.3-150-380-L00-W1 from Indramat belongs to the RAC series 2 and design 3. The rated connection voltage is 3 x AC 400V/50-60Hz. The speed set-point is the SERCOS interface. This drive controller is without any additional input or any additional interface. There is no additional bleeder. For cooling, there is a built-in fan, and either control cabinet outside or inside air can be used for the cooling. The structure allows for either of these options to be used as needed. This is because it acknowledges rotor position with 1/4 000 000 revolutions as the maximum resolution possible. Low speeds of the main spindle drive are handled with high-resolution feedback.
