The unit is an AC main spindle drive controller intended to regulate high-speed machine tool spindles and other production axes that demand tightly managed torque, speed, and regeneration. By converting line power into a controllable three-phase output, it links the CNC or PLC command structure with the mechanical spindle, enabling closed-loop motion control throughout prolonged industrial duty cycles.

The controller connects to a three-phase supply rated at 460 V AC, and its power section can deliver a continuous conductor current of 92 A to the motor windings. Under this load, the inverter supplies a sustained shaft power of 35 kW, while momentary acceleration or heavy-cut passes can be covered with a peak output of 40 kW. Thermal protection allows reliable function up to 55 °C ambient temperature, provided airflow remains unobstructed. Speed commands arrive as an analog ±10 V reference, so the drive can be paired with legacy or modern motion controllers without protocol converters. Continuous operation is supported by a built-in regeneration circuit that dissipates surplus kinetic energy and keeps the DC bus within safe limits.

For position-based machining, the feedback channel resolves each spindle revolution down to 1/4,000,000 Rev, allowing very fine speed and position tracking when interpolated by the CNC. Auxiliary logic devices are supplied from a fused 24 V DC output rated at 1 A, eliminating the need for a separate control supply inside the cabinet. The housing has an IP 10 rating, so the installation space must be free of conductive dust and coolant splashes; protection against solid objects larger than 50 mm is provided. The unit has a mass of 49 kg, and cooling air is circulated across the heat-sink fins and out of the rear exhaust channel.
