The RAC 4.1-400-460-A0I-W1 is an intelligent drive controller is manufactured for Indramat asynchronous main spindle motors. It can also provide smart control of frameless spindle motors 1MB from 52. The drive controller can be operated at constant power and it will still produce an extensive speed range. Its high stiffness is also one of its distinguishing features. The drive controller’s spindle position includes an internal automatic position control loop. This can be closed by motor feedback or through the addition of an optional spindle feedback. The ventilation system is built into the drive controller’s housing. The cooling air passes through the air shaft of the unit.
During the installation and application of the RAC 4.1-400-460-A0I-W1, the individual parameters are programmed through the control panel’s keypad. This process can be done on site during the commissioning of the unit. The parameter values are stored on the programming module. The same program module can be used immediately if the controller needs to be exchanged since the program module retains the parameter values.
The RAC 4.1-400-460-A0I-W1 can also provide additional interface such as an incremental encoder output for position control, a serial interface for parameters, and a digital position set-point input for 3600 positions. Special plug-and-socket connections for the drive controller are included in the in electrical connecting accessories. Changes to the AS programming module are not necessary since an updated program module is always part of the delivery.
