The RAC 3.5-200-460-L00-W1-220 main spindle drive controller is a RAC series drive controller with C-axis operation support. This product from Bosch Rexroth digitally controls the manufacturer’s 1MB and 2AD motors that have a continuous power of 35kW at the output shaft. The device features high precision in a position control loop. Its housing encompasses the heatsink for the fan and the power electronics. The unit has a continuous current rating of 92A. The unit support three feedback interfaces. It comes with a control panel that comprises a keypad. This keypad can be used to input the vital parameters required for the application during its commissioning process.
The drive controller uses a SERCOS interface at its speed set-point. This interface helps in establishing real-time communications such as parameters handling of speed, torque, and position set-points of CNC controls. The product can operate at a maximum temperature of 55°C with derated data. The unit features a Class F humidity according to DIN 40 040 specifications. There should be no condensation of water on the surface of the device during operation. The device features protection against the entry of external objects that have a diameter of more than 50mm.
