That RAC 3.5-200-460-D0D-W1-220 main motor spindle controller is designed for precise control. By design, the unit’s accuracy is based on the feedback signal from either the controlled motor or an additional spindle feedback. This optional feedback system comprises of a set of gears of belts that directly transfer power and speed of the revolution from the motor to the controller. The controller is powered by a 3-phase 380-460V, which can either be 50Hz or 60Hz.
The Indramat controller comes completely packed with all the accessories in a box. When received, customer can use the checklist to confirm that everything is present and send a feedback to the dealer for any missing item or physically damaged ones. The installation of the unit requires a site with an elevation of 1000m and below, and a temperature range can be maintained from +5oC to +45oC. The installation is an easy process as the RAC 3.5-200-460-D0D-W1-220 controller comes with standard cables with screws at the end. By following the manual and provided assembly and installation diagrams, this task can be completed in an hour.
Operating temperature and cooling should be taken seriously. The unit can be out-air cooled or in-air cooled. A hose cooling system can also be used of the prior two are not ideal in the room or cabinet where the unit is installed. For optimal operation, all the conditions specified should be maintained and condensation in the cabinet eliminated. After a successful installation, what follows is programming and commissioning. The controller has AS programming module where all the set parameters are permanently stored. Parameter value can be entered from the unit’s user interface or through a computer connected to its serial port.
