The Rexroth Indramat RAC 3.5-200-460-API-W1-220 is a 200 Amps rated controller. It is designed for control of spindle motors belonging to Indramat 2AD and Indramat 1 MB families. Output current rating of the controller is 200 Amps. The controller comes in an IP 10 rated housing which is designed for vertical mounting. The maximum installation altitude without reduction in rated data is 3300 feet. The operating ambient temperature range without reduction in rated data is 41 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit. At 131 degrees Fahrenheit the controller output reduces to 80% of rated data. During storage and transportation, the temperature of surrounding air should be kept between -22 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Power and control sections of the RAC 3.5-200-460-API-W1-220 require 380 to 460 Volts AC and 220 Volts AC input respectively.
Power requirement of the control section on the RAC 3.5-200-460-API-W1-220 is 200 VA. Analog speed set point, additional encoder input for spindle feedback or second motor feedback and incremental encoder output are available on the controller. Additional bleeder is not available. The RAC 3.5-200-460-API-W1-220 is designed for convection cooling and a cooling fan is provided for this purpose. Minimum 160 millimeters of spacing above and below the installed controller is also recommended by Rexroth. Faults on the RAC 3.5-200-460-API-W1-220 are displayed on the control panel. The drive containing the RAC 3.5-200-460-API-W1-220 controller breaks to a standstill in the presence of a fault. Replacement of a faulty controller is easy and can be accomplished by replacement with a working controller. The programming module from the defective controller can be used with new controller. Only service personnel trained by Indramat should perform repairs on faulty units. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
