The RAC 3.5-200-460-A0I-Z1-220 spindle controller is designed specifically to control 1MB frameless spindle motors and Indramat 2AD asynchronous main spindle motors. With the digital input control, the motor output power can be set at any value within the range of 10-30kW. The drive controller provides continuous power to the controlled motor, resulting in a steady output. The drive has an automatic spindle positioning mechanism with a closed feedback loop that enhances the precision. This particular spindle drive can as well operate the spindle in C-axis with insane precision.
The RAC 3.5-200-460-A0I-Z1-220 spindle drive controller has in-built electronics for controlling airflow throughout the unit. Depending on the cooling system you choose, you can make it air-cooled from outside or inside. There is also a provision for hose cooling just in case the other two options are not possible. Of great importance is the functionality of the module. The spindle driver works with high-accuracy based on the set parameters in the programming module. It allows for hot-programming where the parameters are set during commissioning on-site. With the keypad provided along in the interactive user interface, the desired parameters for the plant are set or keyed in. The set parameters are permanently stored in the removable programming module.
Additional interfacing ports are available that make it possible to connect a PC and load parameters directly into the system. There is also an additional digital setpoint input that can be automatically selected with a PLC. For optimal functioning, the unit should be installed in an area less than 1000m above the sea level and temperature not more than 45oC. Also, maintain a humidity class F within the cabinet.
