Product Description:
Bosch Indramat’s RAC 3.5-150-460-D0I-W1-220, with continuous controller output delivers up to 35kW, and 40kW at peak controller output (with reference to motor output shaft). The voltage supply is rated at 3xAC 380-460V, 50-60 Hz with inbuilt emergency stop circuits. Cooling is via air shafts within the unit. Default cooling is with air inside the control cabinet but unit can be altered to use outside air or hose cooling. Mounting accessories are provided with the assembly kit and the hose is a separate purchase. The unit is rated for use within 5-45 degrees Celsius with performance lowered to 80% at 55 C. Max installation altitude is 1 km above sea level.
The RAC 3.5-150-460-D0I-W1-220 comes with different speed set-point interfaces, analog, digital and SERCOS (digital on this specific model). An additional encoder input is also available for spindle synchronization. Indramat supplies AS programming modules which can be used to adapt the main spindle drives to plant conditions. The AS programming modules can be procured as either standard issues or tailored as per customer’s specific needs for an additional fee.
Protection category of the RAC controller is IP 10 as per DIN VDE 0470 with the fans rated at IP 24 and the interior control cabinet at IP 54. The type of protection needed is not affected if the RAC drive controller is cooled with inside air but is affected if cooling is dependent on outside air fed through the control cabinet. Fault diagnosis is the same in main spindle drive controllers. The drive brakes until halt and the RAC shuts off power. Wake Industrial also provides repair and exchange services in case of faulty machinery. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
