Product Description:
Indramat`s RAC 3.5-150-460-D00-Z1-220 provides a broad speed range with constant power. The drive can be connected to a three-phase supply network with 3xAC 380-460V 50-60Hz which can recover energy during braking. The RAC main spindle drive controllers also house its heatsinks with cooling air being fed through a shaft. Cooling can be managed either inside or outside the cabinet and every RAC can be modified according to needs without any additional accessories. Hose cooling can also be enabled with provided mounting accessories. The power dissipation produced by the RAC 3 drive controller is work dependent.
The RAC 3.5-150-460-D00-Z1-220 comes with analog speed, digital speed, and SERCOS interfaces. Additional, optional interfaces are also available with the RAC 3 drive controllers. These include an incremental encoder output, a serial interface and input for digital position set-point. Optimal temperature range is from 5-45 degrees Celsius with performance being hampered at 55 C. Max installation altitude is 1000m with higher altitudes leading to drops in torque and power. The unit can be operated in most moderate climates with only humidity related condensation causing problems. The RAC 3 unit weighs in at 49 kg.
Protection category is IP 10 allowing the controller to be protected against damage by particles greater than 50 mm but not against water or sabotage. Interior control cabinet is rated at IP 54 and the fan at IP 24. The AS programming module allows the main spindle drive to be immediately ready at the initial run with no adjustment work being necessary. In the event of a fault, the drives brake until standstill then the RAC 3 cuts off power. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
