The RAC 3.5-150-460-A0S-W1-220 is a Bosch Rexroth main spindle drive controller belonging to the RAC series. It has a broad space range provided with an internal position control loop. This unit enables the independent positioning of the spindle in order to respond to a signal with 150A current type and 3 x AC 380 and 460V voltage for power electronics. The ideal temperature for this unit to be operated in is 45 degrees Celsius with the maximum temperature set at 55 degrees Celsius and the highest altitude for its operation set at 1000 meters over the sea level.
It can resolve a revolution of maximum capacity as 1/4 000 000th with the speed set at +/- 10 Volts. It operates generally at a frequency of 50/60Hz and also comes with emergency circuit provisions. The drive controller also has an additional serial interface for being able to store and load values of parameter with a PC. It has a nonstop power at motor output shaft of 10 to 30KW. The unit comes under the IP 10 category giving it protection against the disturbance of all foreign objects except water for radius of over 50mm.
Designed according to DIN VDE 0160 this unit is safe to be operated in places against the risk of humidity and has provision of inbuilt fan for cooling purposes is given. These motors are used in numerically controlled machine tools as main spindle drives. Heat is emitted from the drive controller while it is functioning. There is also an additional provision of special plug and socket in this unit and comes with a one year warranty period.
