Product Description:
RAC 3.5-100-460-D0I-W1-220 is developed by Bosch Rexroth and functions as a main spindle drive controller with a current rating of 100 A. It is mainly applied for digitally controlling Indramat 2AD main spindle motors and 1 MB frameless spindle motors. The product can handle asynchronous motors with a continues power output of 10 – 30 kW at the motor shaft. Motor drives that utilize the RAC 3.5-100-460-D0I-W1-220 have constant power and high stiffness which makes them suited as spindle drives for machine tools. The product has a rated supply voltage of 3 x AC 380 – 460 V with both the emergency-stop circuits and mains contactor integrated. The internal position control loop of the RAC 3.5-100-460-D0I-W1-220 is closed using a motor feedback with direct drive or an additional feedback motor.
During the product’s commissioning stage, the required parameters and configurations for installation and application of the main spindle drive is mapped out using the dedicated keypad on the control panel. The product also has a digital 16-bit parallel speed set-point and an additional interface for incremental encoder input. Incremental encoder is used for CNC control with C-axis operation, tapping, or screwing. The RAC 3.5-100-460-D0I-W1-220 can be cooled with air being drawn from the outside of the case or cooled by the air inside the control cabinet. Installation of cooling devices should be done properly and with care to avoid dew and water condensation. The maximum ambient temperature before the drive data drops is 45 degrees Celsius.
Electrical accessories such as the programming module will always come in individually packed anti-static bags. The parameter list that contains parameter values is packed together with the programming module. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
