Product Description:
The RAC 3.5-100-460-D00-W1-220 is a main drive controller that has a smart digital control for asynchronous main spindle motors and 1 MB frameless spindle motors with a 10 to 30 kW power at the motor output shaft. The product has a current rating of 100 A and features broad speed with high stiffness making it fit for use on numerically controlled machines. The RAC 3.5-100-460-D00-W1-220 can independently position the spindle motor at a maximum resolution of 1/4 000 000th of a single revolution given a signal. It can be connected directly to a 3-phase power supply with a rating of 3 x AC 380 – 460 V.
The product has a 16-bit parallel digital speed set-point for connection to traditional CNC controllers. The main spindle drive controller does not have additional encoder input and no additional interface. The main spindle drive controller has a maximum installation height of 1000 meters above sea level. Lower output for rated torque and power would be experienced if the main drive controller is installed on altitudes exceeding 1000 meters. Ambient humidity is class F and based on DIN 40 040 standards and means that the product could be operated on humidity endangered areas like workshops with cold, moderate, warm and moist climates.
Cooling is either configured by blowing air from the inside of the cabinet to the main drive controller or sucking air from the outside of the control cabinet. Optional hose cooling is also available where air is both being drawn and blown outside the control cabinet. Alterations to the structure of the main spindle controller is needed for the optional hose cooling. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
