Product Description:
RAC 3.5-100-460-AY0-W1-220 is a main spindle drive controller for drives on numerically controlled tools that has wide variety of speed and sustained power. The product has an internal position control loop that positions the spindle at a max resolution of 1/4 000 000th of one revolution. The internal position control loop is closed with the help of an additional spindle feedback or by using the motor feedback with direct drive.
The drive controller features a current rating of 100 amperes and powered by a 3-phase power supply with a rating of 3 x AC 380 – 460 volts. The product is also equipped with spindle synchronization function using the additional encoder and synchronous inputs. The RAC 3.5-100-460-AY0-W1-220 has an analogue +/- 10 volts speed set-point that can be connected to traditional computer numerical control machines. Internal and external power dissipation that the main drive controller generates is dependent on the workload. The product can be cooled using the air being drawn outside the control cabinet or the air present inside the control cabinet. Optional hose cooling is also available if the standard air cooling is not a viable.
The product is designed to work without changes in performance at an ambient temperature of +5 to +45 degrees Celsius and a maximum operating temperature of +55 degrees. Installation of the RAC 3.5-100-460-AY0-W1-220 is capped at a height of 1000 meters above sea level. Heights exceeding this limit would have a negative effect on the product’s torque and power. In addition, the device has a class F rating for protecting it against humidity that is in accordance to DIN 40 040 standards. It also has an IP 10 protection rating that shields it from foreign objects greater than 55 mm. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
