Product Description:
RAC 3.5-100-460-API-Z1-220 is a main spindle drive controller with 100 A current rating. It is used to control main spindle motors and 1 MB frameless spindle motors with a power output between 10 kW to 30 kW. The product has a wide speed range setting that is desirable for main spindle drives used in numerically controlled tools. The main spindle drive controller has a 3 x AC 380 – 460 V voltage supply rating and features an internal position control loop. The product can position the main spindle at a maximum resolution of 1/4 000 000th of a revolution. The internal control loop of the drive controller can be closed with motor feedback (1:1 gears) or by spindle feedback.
Cooling the product is done by a built-in fan that is either drawing air from the inside of the cabinet or getting cool air outside the control cabinet. The RAC 3.5-100-460-API-Z1-220 also comes with an +/- 10 V analogue speed set-point. The main spindle drive controller also comes with an additional encoder input for connecting a spindle feedback or a secondary motor feedback and an additional interface for incremental encoder input. During the commissioning period, individual configurations need for operation and installation are programmed using the dedicated control panel.
The product is designed to operate at an ambient temperature of 45 degrees C. Cooling system for the main spindle drive controller should be properly sealed to avoid condensation on the product. Electrical accessories included with the device is packed on a separate plastic bag with the information written on it. Lastly, programming modules and the parameter list would always be packed on a dedicated anti-static bag. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
