The RAC 3.5-100-460-A0D-Z1-220 main spindle control drive is a mechanically integrated controller into the control cabinet manufactured by Rexroth engineering. This main spindle drive is digitally integrated controls to asynchronous spindle motor with continuous power of 10-30KW. It comes with an internal position-controlled loop closed by either motor feedback or optional spindle feedback. The RAC 3.5 is equipped with high-resolution feedback for accurate low-speed operations.RAC 3.5 Drive controller is directly connected to a three-phase supply network with rated 3*AC 380 volts-460 volts, +/- 10%, 50-60 Hz, and 150A current rating the controlled voltage with this spindle is AC 220V/50-60 Hz. Additional bleeder is established in the controller for braking with mains voltage failure as it is integrated by emergency stop circuits. It comes with a built-in fan for the heat sink of power electronics of the main spindle drive. The RAC 3.5 is cooled via inward and outward air in control cabinets and can be with hose cooling if proper cooling is not possible.
The RAC 3.5 main spindle drive is valid within an ambient temperature range from +5°C to +45 °C and permit able to +55°C. The rated torque and power drop-down in higher altitudes from 1000 meters above sea level. The Main spindle comes with IP 10, as per EN 60 529 (Din VDE 0470) safety category.
The 3.5 spindle drive's set speed comes with different interfaces; the Analog speed set-point for spindle is +/-10Volts for connection to conventional CNC controls. Digital speed set-point is 16 bit parallel for connection to PLCs and SERCOS interface for real-time communication with control speed. It has an additional encoder and master spindle feedback connection for synchronization. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
