The RAC 2.3-250-460-L00-Z1 model is used to control AC main spindle motors by delivering the continuous of 65 kW at the rated current of 400 A. The main spindle drive controller is widely used to control CNC main spindle position while operating at C-axis with extreme precision. The RAC 2 drive controller can take power through a 3-phase AC 3 × 400 ~ 460V power source and delivers continuous power to the motor. The main spindle drive controller comes with an additional bleeder resistor which helps in delivering the continuous regenerated output of 43 kW and Peak bleeder output of 78 kW for a maximum of 5 seconds at the output shaft of the motor. The model can be installed at the maximum altitude of 1000 meters above the sea level and operates normally under the permissible ambient temperature range of +5 to +45 ͦC without a reduction in rated data.
The model RAC 2.3-250-460-L00-Z1 uses the SERCOS interface for real-time communication between input and output devices including parameter handling to the CNC controls. The model comes without any additional encoder input and additional interface. The total weight of the RAC 2 drive controller is 125 kg including the weight of mounting and accessories. The model is protected by the IP 10 protection class which protects it from simple hand touch but it will not provide any resistance against water. The control cabinet comes with a built-in fan that uses inside or outside air to overcome the high-temperature effect. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
