The RAC 2.3-250-460-DP0-W1 model comes with an additional encoder input for spindle feedback or second motor feedback to the internal position controller of the drive. The main spindle drive controller uses a 16-bit parallel digital speed set-point for long circuit lengths and low set-points. The model operates at the rated connection voltage of 460V-type which can take connection directly from the 3-phase 3 × AC 400 ~ 460V, 50/60 Hz power source with ±15 % of augmentation. The main spindle drive controller is suitable for use as the main spindle drive in numerically controlled machine tools and also capable of operating the spindle at C-axis with extreme precision in the position control loop. The model comes with a broad speed range and delivers the peak output of 78 kW and continuous output of 65 kW at the output shaft.
The model RAC 2.3-250-460-DP0-W1 comes with a built-in fan in main controller housing which uses a control cabinet outside or inside air for cooling purposes. The cooling airflow is guided through the unit in an air shaft. The maximum permissible ambient temperature on which the model can operate with a 20% reduction in drive data is +55 ͦC. The RAC drive controller is protected against solid particles having a diameter greater than 50 mm due to its IP 10 protection class but it will not provide any protection from liquids. The net weight of the model is approximately 125 kg including the weight of the mounting frame and accessories. The model comes without any additional bleeder resistor. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
