The RAC 2.3-250-460-D00-W1 from Bosh Rexroth is available with different types of interfaces offering speed set points such as Digital set speed point with 16 bit parallel for PLC controller connection and analog set speed point with +/- 10 volts CNC control connection. The drive controller interface i.e. the SERCOS interface gives the real-time transmission of different set points, actual speed, and torque and position values in parameters like the CNC control. The controller AS programming module adapts itself to the spindle motor hence enhancing its performance and accuracy levels. A matching AS programming module is sold together with the spindle drive.
The Indramat RAC 2.3-250-460-D00-W1 spindle drive is controlled by microprocessors that do not require readjustments during the very first operation. This is aided by the programming module which is plugged into the controller before powering the drive. The drive controller also provides an additional synchronized encoder input that is used to synchronize the servo drive to the main machine. Upgrading and updating of the controllers AS Programming Module are only necessary if the: software has a fault, output required exceeds the preinstalled standards of the drive, and if more than one motor parameter are combined.
The RAC 2.3-250-460-D00-W1 is delivered with its cooling device but this is subject to change if the need arises. To use other cooling methods, structural changes are performed to the control cabinet. Follow the right structural alteration as described in the supplied plan. Always ensure that the entire drive control unit is shut down before beginning any wiring connections or removing the AS programming module. The power cables should be twisted and the motor grounded on the controller before installation. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
