Indramat Rexroth RAC 2.3-250-460-API-W1 drive controller offers an interface which is used as an encoder to provide the following functions: An output for the control and positioning of the CNC during operation of the C-axis, a serial porthole for loading and storing parameters through a computer, and a digital input for the control of the PLC. The drive is delivered with other components needed during installation, such as the plug-in module, keypad for the control panel, and a programming module for the motor. In the case of damage, maintenance and exchange is performed on the controller and not the programming module as it can be re-used with a new drive controller.
The drive programming module allows for easy duplication of earlier adopted modules through the use of a serial interface, a storage device, or a duplicating adopter. The RAC 2.3-250-460-API-W1 should be operated at a minimum temperature of 5 degrees to a maximum of 55 degrees and permitted class F humidity which corresponds to the DIN 40 040 requirements. With class F humidity protection, the controller can be operated in rooms with humidity risks like workshops in moderate/cold and warm/hot climates. Installation altitudes for the drive should not exceed 1000 meters above sea level.
When transporting the drive, a vibration-damping base is recommended to avoid damage to the drive.
