The RAC 2.3-250-380-L00-Z1 spindle drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RAC Spindle Drive Controllers series. This AC spindle drive controller is installed between the mains supply and an induction or synchronous motor that serves as the spindle, where it regulates torque and speed during machining cycles. By translating high-level commands from a CNC or motion controller into current-controlled outputs, the unit enables precise spindle acceleration, deceleration, and constant surface speed functions that are critical in metal cutting and forming equipment. This arrangement helps the spindle respond smoothly to changing cutting loads without losing commanded speed.

For dynamic braking, the unit is supplied with an additional bleeder resistor that dissipates regenerated energy during rapid deceleration.
