Installed between the plant mains supply and the spindle motor, it shapes current, issues speed commands, and supports coordinated motion sequences from the higher-level CNC. This arrangement allows the spindle to accelerate, decelerate, and hold commanded speed in step with programmed cutting cycles, while the controller manages the power delivered to the motor during changing load conditions.
