Product Description:
The RAC 2.3-250-380-A0S-W1 is a Bosch Rexroth RAC 2 product line main spindle drive controller. This controller can digitally and intelligently control Rexroth Indramat main spindle motors and frameless spindle motors. The drive can offer higher stiffness at output and continuous power at a broader speed range. This makes them suitable for use in CNC machines. This unit is also fitted with an internal position control loop. This loop is completed when feedback from the motor comes to the drive controller. Additionally, it can also be closed via spindle feedback. This loop allows the drive to position the spindle independently to a high degree of accuracy. It can resolve even 1/4 000 000th of a revolution.
This controller needs to be powered via a three-phase supply network. It comes fitted with an integrated mains contactor in order to be able to remove power from the drive and an emergency stop switch. The energy regenerated during the process of braking can be re-fed into the electric power supply. This happens even when the emergency stop is applied. The main spindle can be stopped even while a power failure by using direct current. It can be cooled either with inside air or by using a control cabinet. The modifications can be done easily without using any accessories. Its housing is fitted with a heat sink which takes away heat from the electronics.
This model runs on 400A of current. It has an analogue speed set point which operates on a signal of +/- 10 Volts. It does not come with an additional encoder input. It comes with an additional serial interface of the RS 232 C type. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
