Product Description:
The RAC 2.3-200-460-LP0-W1 belongs to the RAC 2 series of drive controllers from Bosch Rexroth. This controller digitally controls Indramat 2AD asynchronous main spindle motors and 1 MB frameless spindle motors. Because they feature high stiffness and regular power at wide speed range, this makes them ideal for use in a CNC machine with a main spindle drive. This drive controller comes with an internal position control loop. This loop becomes closed via motor feedback or optional spindle feedback. The loop gives the drive ability to very accurately position the spindle in response to a work signal. It has a very fine resolution of 1/4 millionth of a revolution.
This product runs on a 3-phase supply network. The RAC 2.3-200-460-LP0-W1 already comes fitted with a mains switch or contactor and an emergency circuit stopper. When braking is applied, energy is regenerated, and this energy is fed back into the 3-phase supply. This can happen even while emergency stopping. The drive controller has the capability to stop the main spindle even in the event of a power failure. The RAC 2 series drive controllers can be cooled using circulating air already inside or by using outside air. Both can be done without using any accessories. The housing of the drive controller comes with a heat sink for cooling the circuitry.
Current rating for this drive controller is 300A. It has a SERCOS interface as the speed setting point. It has an additional encoder input for second motor feedback or spindle feedback. It doesn’t come with an additional bleeder or additional interface. This product has a design code of 03. It comes with a fan inside for cooling. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
