The RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1 is a spindle drive controller which belongs to RAC series from Rexroth Indramat. The controller has an input rating of 400 Volts AC. The controller accepts three-phase input at 50 to 60 Hertz frequencies. The controller current rating is 200 Amps. The RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1 is designed for intelligent control of 2AD series spindle motors from Rexroth Indramat which have power output of up to 52 kilowatts. For optimal performance as per the specifications provided by Indramat, the ambient temperature in the location when the controller is being operated should be kept between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius. The controller output reduces or derates to 80% of rated values if the ambient temperature reaches 55 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, Indramat also recommends that that unused RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1 controllers need ambient temperature range of -30 to 85 degrees Celsius.
The controller is designed to use air outside the control cabinet for cooling. For this purpose, the controller comes with integrated cooling fan. Structural changes are necessitated if the cooling method used for any particular application does not use the air outside the control cabinet. The maximum altitude above sea level at which the RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1 controller can operate without derating is 1000 meters. Housing of the drive controller has IP10 rating according to EN 60 529. The controller does not include additional bleeder, additional interface or additional encoder input. RAC series controllers are available with one of three different speed set-points which are digital, analog and SERCOS interface. The RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1 comes with SERCOS interface for speed set point. Configuration of the controller is performed through the AC programing module which is supplied with each new controller. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
