The RAC 2.3-200-380-AP0-W1 is a member of the intelligent RAC 2 main spindle motor drive controller series made by Rexroth Indramat. It provides smart digital control of asynchronous Indramat 2AD spindle motors. This equipment particularly fits perfectly well as the main spindle drive in numerically controlled machinery. The spindle of the RAC 2.3-200-380-AP0-W1 is independently positioned to respond to signals, and its maximum resolution equals 1/4,000,000 revolutions.
The RAC 2.3-200-380-AP0-W1 is a type 2 design spindle drive controller with an operating current rated for 300 Amps. The speed setpoint (X4) option is an analogue connection (±10volts) for traditional CNC controls. The feedback interface has an additional encoder input option (X5) for spindle feedback or second motor feedback. There is no additional interface option.The RAC 2.3-200-380-AP0-W1 has a continuous output power rating (Pcont) of 55 kW, and a continuous peak output power rating (Pmax) of 55 kW. Also, the continuous output regeneration power (Preg) equals 37 kW, and the peak output regeneration power (Preg. max) at a maximum of 5 seconds equals 55 kW. At 100% drive controller rated data, the range of the acceptable air temperature is between 5 degrees to 45 degrees Celsius.
