The RAC 2.2-250-460-API-W1 is an intelligent servo drive system manufactured for advanced motion control applications. The drive controller is used with different models of industrial motors. The 1 MB frameless and the 2AD asynchronous motors are often integrated with this servo drive. A major advantage of this system is its ability to execute C-axis operations in CNC machines with sizable accuracy and precision. The drive controller’s main spindle has a feedback system with very high resolution. The device can control motion at very low speeds and has an impressive resolution of 1/4 000 000 revolutions. The rotor’s position is continuously monitored and adjusted. The device also enables motion control at very low speeds and with very high accuracy. Through an additional encoder, the spindle feedback can be connected to an internal position encoder.
The RAC 2.2-250-460-API-W1 also enables spindle synchronization through an additional encoder input and an asynchronous input. Tapping and screwing operations can also be performed using the incremental encoder input. Drive parameters can be loaded onto a personal computer through a serial interface connected with the servo drive. Using digital set points, an optional digital interface can also be connected with the system. The drive controller can be connected with the Sercos interface for speed set point. This device is completely compatible with the PLC controllers and conventional CNC controllers.
