The Rexroth RAC 2.2-200-460-DPD-W1 is a main spindle drive controller which is designed for control of asynchronous main spindle motors from Indramat and frameless spindle motors from 1MB. The RAC 2.2-200-460-DPD-W1 can control motors with power ratings ranging from 30 to 52 kilowatts. The controller is rated for 300 Amps current and can be driven by both three phase 400 Volts AC input at 50 Hertz frequency and three phase 460 Volts AC input at 60 Hertz frequency. The controller also features an integrated fan which is provided to ensure airflow to assist with maintenance of operational controller temperature within the ranges recommended by the manufacturer. The controller however does not come with an additional bleeder. Other controller features include additional encoder input for spindle feedback or second motor feedback and an additional interface rated position value (digital, 16 bit parallel).
RAS series controller such as the RAC 2.2-200-460-DPD-W1 can be ordered with analog, digital and SERCOS speed set points. The RAC 2.2-200-460-DPD-W1 comes with digital speed set point (16-bit parallel). The additional digital interface can be used for PLC controllers to dial 3600 positions. Dimensions of the controller are 1000 x 460 x 320 millimeters. The controller can operate without any reduction in rated performance with an ambient temperature of up to 45 degrees Celsius. Control cabinet used to house the controller should be designed so that the condensation water formed due to shutdown is not sprayed by the cooling fan. During storage the ambient temperature needs to be maintained between -30 and 85 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, Indramat recommends that to avoid damage the controller should be kept dry and should be protected from dust. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
