The RAC 2.2-200-460-DP0-W1 is the main spindle drive that was manufactured by Indramat. This spindle drive has a current rating of 300A and two rated connections voltage of 3 x AC 400V/50Hz and 3 x AC 460V/60Hz. The RAC 2 spindle drives have broad speed ranges with ongoing power and very high stiffness. As a result, they are the best spindle drives to be used when the machine tools being used are operated numerically.
In addition, the RAC 2.2-200-460-DP0-W1 has an inbuilt position loop that controls the drive when responding to a signal. Motor feedback or optional spindle feedback is used to close this inbuilt position control loop. This works as its additional encoder input. In the RAC 2’s controller housing is the heatsink used for both fan and power electronics. An air shaft is used to guide through the cooling air movement. The backwall in the control cabinet has cut-outs that help in drawing in and blowing out the cooling air off the control cabinet.
The control panel keyboard is used during commissioning to input the individual parameters that are used for installation and application. An already plugged-in programming module is used to store these parameter values as well as motor optimizing parameters. Incase servicing becomes necessary, the controller is exchanged, and the programming module from the previous controller is reused. The RAC 2.2-200-460-DP0-W1 spindle drive has a digital 16-bit parallel speed set-point, no additional interface, and no additional bleeder.
