Manufactured for use in industrial environments by Bosch Rexroth, the PST6250.255-L is a two-phase thyristor power unit, module designed for recessed mounting. It is a largely integrated power unit, with an integrated control function. Because most of the components are built in to the power unit, the PST6250.255-L does not require a lot of cables and is easily installed into a portable welding box system. It also includes integrated control and monitoring functions, an integrated weld timer and its functionality was designed for high quality optimization in welding transformers. It cannot be used in other applications apart from this.
The integrated weld timer in the PST6250.255-L is used in monitoring its operation. It is one of the monitoring functions built into the thyristor power unit to improve its reliability. The thermostatic switch of the unit will send signals to the weld timer whenever there is an overload. Then, the weld timer will show you the output message so that you can clear the fault. The PST6250.255-L must be monitored when operated because of problems like overloading or overheating.
