Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat PST6100.177-W is part of the PST Thyristor Power Units series and works as a controlled power module for transformer-fed loads in automated cells. By adjusting the conduction angle of its internal thyristors, the unit regulates primary current and stabilizes secondary power delivered to resistance heating, soldering, and similar production equipment. This operating method supports repeatable power delivery during cyclic industrial processes. It is suited to applications where controlled bursts of power are needed without large variations from cycle to cycle.
The power stage can deliver a continuous output of 150 A, while the base cabinet dissipates 69 W of internal loss during steady operation. A water-cooled design limits additional thermal loading to 420 W under maximum conditions, and overall duty is limited to 50% so heat remains within the cooling capacity of the unit. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 2000 m above sea level when 100 mm of clearance is left above and below the housing for airflow around auxiliary components. The unit has an IP20 enclosure, weighs 15.5 kg, shows a pressure drop of 0.1 bar at the specified coolant flow, and its transformer section can supply 106 kVA for short-cycle operation at the stated duty factor. This layout supports installations where heat is removed through a closed water circuit instead of depending only on ambient air.
Cooling water must be supplied at no more than 30 °C, with a minimum flow of 4 l/min and system pressure that does not exceed 10 bar. These water conditions help protect the cooling path from excessive thermal stress during repeated load cycles. At a 20% duty cycle, the integrated transformer can momentarily produce 167 kVA. The auxiliary power section provides 24 V DC for sensors, relays, and the timer circuit.
