The PST6100.115-L is a thyristor power unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PST Thyristor Power Units series. It switches high currents through solid-state devices to regulate electric heating zones, soft-start resistive loads, or stabilize AC power in automated machinery. By replacing electromechanical contactors, the device delivers rapid cycle times and lower maintenance, making it suitable for cabinets where continuous electronic control of three-phase power is required.

This model is air cooled and carries a protection rating of IP20, so it must be mounted in a clean, closed cabinet. Recessed installation is supported, provided that a 100 mm clearance is kept around the heat sink and the incoming cooling air does not exceed 45 °C. Integrated temperature monitoring disconnects the trigger circuit if internal thresholds are reached, while MOV overvoltage protection suppresses line spikes. The unit uses the same voltage for its logic supply, and the main control input accepts 24 V DC. A timer module matched to that voltage enables time-based firing sequences. During each conduction window, the device can carry a nominal system current of 130 A, but its operating profile must be limited to a maximum duty cycle of 50% to remain within thermal limits. When the surrounding ambient remains at or below 55 °C, full ratings are available without derating.

Operation is permitted up to 2000 m installation altitude, allowing use in elevated facilities without additional cooling fans. Power connections accommodate cable or busbar conductors up to 50 mm², which helps limit resistive losses in the current path. At full load, the assembly adds only 70 W of cabinet heat loss, which simplifies enclosure cooling. The housing and mounted hardware weigh 12.5 kg, which should be considered when planning panel support and mounting.
