The PST610-EW is an AC power source used with welding transformer that convert the secondary voltage via a thyristor controlled rectifier bridge to a square wave arc voltage with excellent strike characteristics and good welding properties. The PST610-EW is a thyrister controlled welding power supply manufactured by Bosch-Rexroth that deliver simplified but robust continuous operation for welding. The PST610-EW is a Thyristor Power Unit designed for working together with welding transformers and is appropriate in resistance-welding of metals used in wide rand of industries. The Thyristor Power Unit overcomes the shortcomings of the earlier welding machines by integrating advance semiconductor design and implementing automatic control and monitoring functions. This favored development includes a two-phase full wave bridge rectifier employed by a pair of SCRs (silicon controlled rectifier) for each phase, and thus ensuring right triggering at exact firing angles, producing a sharp weld arc.
The PST610-EW is a Thyristor Power Unit offers an integrated weld timer and can be used with welding transformers up to 76KVA. The BOS-5000 interface offers a user friendly terminal for operation, programming, and fault-diagnostics of the thyristor power unit. The power unit is developed into a rugged portable metal box and has minimized cabling due to embedded system modules. The unit is designed with air cooling mechanism and an appropriate surface heat sink, thus able to deliver high current withstanding capabilities with smooth operation. The front panel of the unit is housed with a green “Ready” LED that goes out and indicate a faulty condition by cutting the output drive current, thus safeguarding the system against damage. Meeting the industrial environmental requirement, the product is designed as per IP65 protection. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
