Product Description:
The PSI65C0.620-W1 belongs to the PSI Frequency Inverters series engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for medium-frequency induction heating and welding equipment. As a three-phase medium-frequency inverter, it converts factory mains power into controlled medium-frequency power so downstream transformers can deliver precise secondary currents to work coils or welding guns in automated production lines. DeviceNet timing hardware coordinates inverter gating with external controllers, supporting synchronized control of the connected process equipment. The inverter is suitable for systems that require accurately regulated current during repetitive heating or welding cycles.
The unit accepts a mains input range of 400–480 VAC at either 50 or 60 Hz. An internal rectifier processes the input, and the power stage operates at a clock rate of 1 kHz before the H-bridge produces an adjustable medium-frequency output. A dedicated control section operates on 24 V DC, and an integrated 2 A supply can power connected sensors or I/O blocks. The power stage can deliver up to 2400 A of RMS output current, while metal-oxide varistor networks suppress overvoltage across the DC link. M10 bolts secure the mains terminals to provide stable electrical connections. Nominal operation requires a cabinet ambient temperature no higher than 45 °C, and the climatic category is 3K3 under EN 60721-3-3.
Water cooling circulates at 10 liters per minute through the base plate to remove heat from the power electronics. The coolant inlet temperature must not exceed 30 °C, allowing the system to manage 4.4 kW of cooling and ventilation losses, 420 W of internal losses, and 850 W of cabinet losses. Continuous output is characterized by a nominal system current of 660 A, while peak secondary pulses can reach 120 kA when the inverter is paired with a PSG 3100 transformer. The IP20 enclosure protects against contact with internal components but requires installation in a suitable cabinet. The operating temperature range extends from +10 to +55 °C, while storage is permitted at temperatures as low as -25 °C. The inverter weighs 25 kg, which must be considered when selecting the mounting surface and cabinet supports.
