Product Description:
The PSI65C0.333-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Designed for industrial automation, the unit converts three-phase utility power into a regulated medium-frequency output for induction heating generators, high-frequency spindle drives, and other machinery that requires variable magnetic fields. Its integrated control supply powers the drive electronics and fieldbus modules from the same enclosure, simplifying cabinet wiring. The inverter can coordinate power conversion with external control equipment while supporting synchronized operation in automated production systems.
The inverter connects to a three-phase mains network rated at 400 to 480 VAC and accepts line frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz, allowing installation on European and North American plant grids. Its power semiconductors generate up to 420 W of heat, which is removed through a water-cooled plate exchanger to keep internal temperatures stable. The enclosure is rated IP20, so the inverter must be installed inside a closed control cabinet that prevents unintended contact with internal components. An onboard switched-mode power supply delivers 24 VDC at a maximum current of 2 A for sensors, relays, and the INTERBUS bus coupler without requiring an external auxiliary transformer. The frequency output can be coordinated over INTERBUS, while the timer interface supports synchronous operation among multiple inverters connected to the same ring.
During operation, the inverter withstands ambient temperatures from +10 to +55 °C and meets climatic category 3K3 according to EN 60721-3-3. This category supports operation in production areas that experience daily temperature changes with little condensation. Water cooling reduces the amount of cabinet airflow needed to remove heat from the power section. During storage or transportation, the electronics tolerate temperatures from -25 to +70 °C. The assembled unit weighs 25 kg, so suitable lifting equipment should be used when positioning it in a control cabinet.
